Ingredients

Yield:1 serving
  • Thinly sliced green apples
  • Pinch of fleur de sel
  • 1ounce vodka
  • ¼ounce Chambord Liqueur Royale de France
  • Splash of pineapple juice
  • Splash of apple cider

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Line martini glass with green apples, with the skins coated with fleur de sel.

  2. Step 2

    Mix vodka, Chambord and juice in a shaker with ice; chill and strain into glass. Shake cider till it foams and pour on top.

Not sure why the original French martini was disrespected so in this recipe. Apple cider DOES NOT belong in this recipe, nor should it be garnished with apple wedges.

I suggest 1.5 oz of mid grade vodka, Tito's or Ketel One, 1 oz pineapple juice and .5 oz Chambord. And always garnish with a fresh twist of lemon cut over the glass to add aromatics.

The apple slices didn't work for me; they just floated on top. Raspberries on a martini stick would work better.
