Ingredients

Yield:One cocktail
  • 1½ounces straight rye whiskey
  • 1½ounces lighter Italian amaro, like Nonino
  • Thin-cut lemon peel, for garnish

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Stir the rye and amaro together with plenty of cracked ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Top with the lemon peel.

For this I used Michter's straight rye and Meletti's Amaro (local liquor store did not carry Nonino Amaro). Very smooth and sweet-ish. Nice desert/digestif if you're looking for a tempered rye concoction.
