Chamomile Strawberry Gin Daisy Cocktail

Ingredients
- 1fresh strawberry, plus more slices for garnish
- 2ounces gin
- 1tablespoon Chamomile Simple Syrup, plus more to taste
- ¼cup freshly squeezed lemon juice, plus more to taste
- ¼teaspoon grenadine
- Ice
- 1organic edible flower, for garnish (optional)
Preparation
- Step 1
Place the strawberry in a cocktail shaker. Using a muddler, smash the strawberry into a purée. (If you don’t have a muddler, you can use a small bowl and the tines of a fork or the handle of a wooden spoon to smash the berry before adding it to the cocktail shaker.)
- Step 2
Add the gin, chamomile simple syrup, lemon juice, grenadine and a handful of ice to the shaker. Shake vigorously for about 30 seconds. Add more chamomile simple syrup and lemon to taste.
- Step 3
Strain into a large (8- to 10-ounce) glass or cup. (If you prefer, you can serve over ice as well.) Garnish with strawberry slices or an edible flower, if desired.

This is a delicious cocktail for a hot summer day! The recipe could benefit from keeping the units of measure consistent. 2oz = 1/4 cup but both were used. Also 1 tablespoon is 1/2oz or 15 mL. Having said that, I'll be making this again.
This is good with vodka too!
I love a good lemony drink but this was toooooo lemony. You lose the chamomille if you add too much of the lemon juice, so I would say add half the lemon juice, and add to taste from there.
Drinking this cocktail while watching the Wimbledon Men’s final. Truly the perfect match! Didn’t completely strain the strawberry solids from the final drink, but makes me feel like I’m having an adult smoothie fruit drink. Will be making again for sure.
Why are you straining a 3 oz drink into an 8 or 10 oz glass?
I skipped the grenadine because I've never liked it and just added more chamomille syrup. So good. Made it with berry infused gin.
