Ingredients
Yield:1 drink
- 1teaspoon dried damiana leaves
- 1teaspoon sugar
- 1½ounces single-malt Scotch, not too smoky
- 2teaspoons raspberry preserves
- ¼ounce fresh lemon juice
- Citrus zest strips, rose petals or raspberries, for garnish
Preparation
- Step 1
Add the damiana and sugar to ½ cup boiling water. Cover for 2 minutes, strain and refrigerate until cool.
- Step 2
Measure 3 ounces of the damiana tea into a cocktail shaker. (Cover and refrigerate the remainder for another use.) Add the Scotch, preserves and lemon juice with two big handfuls of ice and shake vigorously. Strain over ice into a Cognac snifter or an Old-Fashioned glass. Add the garnish of your choice.
