Ingredients
Yield:4 servings
- 4large ripe red tomatoes
- 4cloves garlic, each cut into 4 slivers
- 2tablespoons chopped fresh oregano or 1 tablespoon dried
- 2tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Preparation
- Step 1
Preheat broiler to high
- Step 2
Core tomatoes and slice them in half
- Step 3
Place tomatoes in a baking dish large enough to hold tomato halves cut-side up. Insert 2 slivers of garlic in each. Sprinkle each half with chopped oregano, olive oil, salt and pepper
- Step 4
Place tomatoes under broiler for about 5 minutes
