Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Arrange the apricots, cut side up in a small baking dish that will hold them compactly in a single layer.

  2. Step 2

    Sprinkle with sugar, dot with butter and sprinkle with brandy.

  3. Step 3

    Place in the oven and bake until they are tender and beginning to brown, about 45 minutes. Allow to cool briefly, then serve.

Was 475 degrees a mistake? These were blackened within 30 minutes...what a waste. Maybe try at 350 degrees? For less time?
