Ingredients
Yield:16 to 24 croutons
- 1loaf of French bread like a baguette
- 1large garlic clove peeled and left whole
- 2tablespoons olive oil
- 4tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
- Step 1
Preheat oven broiler.
- Step 2
Rub the bread's crust all over with the garlic clove.
- Step 3
Slice the bread on the bias ¼ inch thick. Arrange the slices in a baking dish, brush with the oil and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Step 4
Place under the broiler until golden brown on one side. Turn and brown lightly on the reverse side.
