  • Fry minced slab bacon
  • popcorn
  • rosemary or thyme
  • black pepper

  1. Step 1

    Fry minced slab bacon until crisp. Make popcorn. Toss together (fat included) with chopped rosemary or thyme and lots of black pepper. Best served hot.

It would have been nice if Mark had provided some idea of proportions (i.e., X ounces of bacon : Y TBSP unpopped popcorn).

Chop 3-4 strips bacon into one inch pieces, fry until crisp. The slices should render enough fat to pop 1/2 cup corn.

It's one of those recipes where the proportions are whatever you like.

Eyeball it.
My guts tells me 1-11/2 TBS minced Bacon for 1 TBL Unpeopled popcorn.
Keep in mind:
Unpopped popcorn tends to grow BIG
while Bacon tends to shrink
