  • ¼cup sugar
  • 3-inch strip orange zest
  • About 2 cups gin

  1. Step 1

    In a large jar, stir or shake together pomegranate seeds, sugar and orange zest. Pour in gin; cover seeds by about an inch. Cover jar and let sit in a dark, cool place (but not the refrigerator) for at least 3 weeks.

Easy! We put a few seeds in each glass and munched on them while we sipped. Lovely.
Used the wooden-spoon-whacking method to seed pomegranate.

Easy to do and amazingly delicious!!! My second batch is doing it's thing right now!!

How are these preserves used/served? I would like to know before I prepare...

Very good, but a little sweet. I would do again with maybe just a tablespoon of sugar.
